Forum Terms & Rules

Please take a moment to review these rules detailed below. If you agree with them and wish to proceed with the registration, simply click the "Register" button below. To cancel this registration, simply hit the 'back' button on your browser. Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this bulletin board. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

  • Respect - Please respect your fellow forum members. Though you may not think it, they are real people and they have feelings too.
Example(s): No childish comments, comebacks, name calling.
  • Conduct - Conduct yourself in a mature and orderly way; childishness is not tolerated and will lead to consequences. Included in this is drama. Please keep all personal issues you may have with members off-site, and do not let general personal issues affect your ability to follow the rules.
Example(s): Aggressive fanboyism, hate directed to other websites (inluding raids primarily including members of the site), personal conflicts with members.
  • Harassment - Harassment of members of any kind is not even remotely tolerated. Even if it is offsite, it is possible members harassing other members will result in an on-site punishement.
Example(s) - Attacks on a member, stalking, unwanted sexual comments.
  • Posting - Make sure your posts have some relevance to the current topic that you are posting in. Do not post spam (Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages). Also, members are not to double post unless needed. Double posting because you forgot to say something in an initial post or to bump a thread is not permitted.
Example(s): QFT and all along the lines thereof (unless own thoughts are added in).
  • Advertising - Do not advertise other sites. Although links in signatures, profiles, and the occasional post are okay, threads devoted to advertising are not allowed.
Example(s): Creating a thread regarding a personal site.
  • Content - Any content that could be offensive in any way is to be avoided. As a general rule of thumb, if you have to think twice, just don't say it. It should be noted that this is rather subjective and that the staff will have all final say in the matter.
Example(s): Pornography, ethnic/racial/sexual/religious slurs, personal attacks, trolling. It should be noted that the final two are subjective and will be judged by the staff, though it is requested that as a member, you report instances you feel fall into one of those categories.
  • Sexual Content - Members are not at all permitted to engage in sexual discussions.
Example(s): Sexual role play, discussion of sexual activities, stating arousal.
  • Staff - Treat the staff with respect. They work with us for free and do not deserve to be treated like tools. If you have a question, send them a PM that is clean and easy to understand. Impersonating a staff member is strictly prohibited, and it should be noted this goes for anywhere online. While many rules obviously only apply to the forum, should the staff discover a member has been impersonating them online, the member shall be strictly punished. Finally, the staff is not here to solve your personal issues. If you're close to a staff member, feel free to open up as they, too, are people, but do not generally see the staff as your personal therapist group.
Example(s): Trying to turn members against the staff, rudely demanding something is changed, insubordination, impersonation.
  • Swearing - Swearing is discouraged, but not prohibited with some exception. Strong curse words are to be especially avoided and may be editted out of a post and excessive swearing will lead to punishment and if it gets to be a problem, possibly a word filter.
Example(s): Fuck, shit, and so on for strong curse words. Words like ass, damn, and hell will be generally overlooked unless used as or in an insult to another member.
  • Alternate Accounts - Alternate accounts are not allowed. If you are found to be in possession of more than one account, the alt will be banned and your main account will have its warn level increased.
Example(s): Making a seperate account for an RP character, to circumvent a ban, et cetera.
  • Plagiarism - Do not plagiarize. If you would like to post content you found somewhere else, write a few sentences about it, then provide a link. If you copy text to the thread, cite and link the source you copied it from. Included in this is art theft. Do not claim a piece of art or a design is your own unless it truly is. Included in this is tracing unless you specify you have traced it. In addition to failing to comply to this giving you a poor reputation, it may also lead to administrative action if it's a repeated offense.
Example(s): Claiming a work of art or writing is your own when it isn't.
  • Illegal Materials - You may not discuss illegal materials on the site under any circumstances. Discussion of emulation is allowed to a short extent, yet if the topic gets into territory of specific ROMs, punishments will be handed out and it is possible even minor emulation discussion will not be allowed.
Example(s): Drugs (except for serious discussions), ROMs, piracy.
  • Bannings - When banned, you are not to have on-site contact. Bannings and terms there of are decided by the staff and, in some circumstances, negotiated with the member being banned. Failure to comply to terms of a ban will result in an extention of punishment.
Example(s): Having another member relay messages for you.
  • Above all else, have fun! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. The staff would rather get frequent questions regarding clarification if something's alright than have to constantly enforce these rules. Also, be sure to log out. It's your account and you're responsible for everything that happens with it.
