I was actually considering going back to JIRACHIMELEE at one point, but it was such a random name. Though I had it from 2003-2007 so it was the longest time I kept a single user name hahaha

Yea that place was worth it sometimes. Do you remember a thread about Pope John Paul II? I remember how well it was going for the most part. Actual discussion. And then Andy closed it   :(... Understandable, but it was an interesting discussion.

Ah. Well it was pretty interesting. People weren't arguing and all that. One of the few times where I saw a religious thread on the boards.

On a side note, Playstation allows that kind of talk O.O. They get away (at least to a point) with more than we did over on the old Nsider boards back then. Back in 07' and 08', I would have said differently. And at one point they looked identical to the old Nsider boards. Saw a screen cap of it recently and I laughed my butt off at it XD.

Nintendo is the most strict company I've ever seen. I mean they took away Swapnotes because they can't babysit the users. So yeah that doesn't surprise me in the least.

I can't even remember the topics I ran there anymore. The most I do remember is being co-leader of team Snag'em with Sharpedo22.

Yea. Same here. I understand from a point though in regards to some folks sharing inappropriate images with minors. Maybe they should have had a way for people to screen through them... but other than that, maybe they could have found a way to prevent folks from sending images.

Ah. Nice.

I don't remember a ton either, but I do remember sharing fc's with a friend once in order to trade and battle.

It shouldn't matter to them thou. I mean the same can be done in email, Skype, and many other avenues. Just because some people are sending dick pictures not everyone should have the service taken away. Ifs that's the case, the internet shouldn't exist. I mean you can't babysit the whole world it's just not possible and it's not like Nintendo by stopping one service is going to stop child porn.

I really don't see how they could be held legally responsible either. I mean if that's the case wouldn't every service provider who offers away of privet contact be liable? Say if here on pipeline an underage user sends me porn of themselves, would the admins here be responsible? Could the parents of that youth sue MageLeif because he's the owner?

It just doesn't make sense to me.

Yea. But parents don't like it. And as for the kids, some of them might be traumatized by it. Yea we can't baby sit the whole world and porn will still exist. But it would have been nice to have had a way to block any users like we can in Miiverse. That's one thing I appreciate about that. That if there's anything that we find that is inappropriate or offensive we can report and/or block said user.

There was thou. The only way you could get a spot pass stwapnote was by exchanging FCs. And you can disable street pass. Since they kept street pass and only took spot pass away that has to mean that those swapping pictures gave each other their friend codes.
