Basically, they're making a thing that promotes and encourages fitness in an engaging way. They're being somewhat cryptic with it, describing it as "non-wearable" technology, and saying they're jumping into a blue ocean. They said straight up, it's not for gamers. Their goal is to increase the fit population, and they're going to do it with their new "Quality of Life platform", expected to be launched in the fiscal year from April 2015-March 2016. 




I don't know about you guys, but I'm curious and excited to see what this is.

Well the inclusion of step counter increasing your O Power meter in Pokemon X/Y was the only thing that has ever made me say "I should go for a walk" and then DO SO... Somehow I feel like Nintendo could pull it off?

I'm not sure how I feel about this. But Nintendo has always tried to do weird things to stay in business. That's why Donkey Kong exists today.
