LOL well yeah they can be a pain that is for sure. Although in my experience at least they don't come up too often to make them a real annoyance, it is not like 2 or 3 are being fired each lap.

But still when one does show up, it can really be annoying. Especially if you are the one it is after.

Blue shells even ruin things for the person in second sometimes.

Even worse is a person who gets a bullet bill early game and uses it at a whorish time.

These shells are the worst. I especially hate the common situation where you're right next to the finish line and in 1st place when a blue shell comes out of nowhere and you end up in like 5th.

The worst part about this scenario is that it happens ALL THE TIME!

Yeah, it's like the game is able to choose for it to happen at precisely the worst moment possible.
Blue Shells just completely ruin your chances of winning. You could be the best racer of the bunch and come in near last place just because of it.

No they don't ruin everything. You just need to carry more mushrooms to speed out of the explosion more. the banana at the end of the race. THAT RUINS EVERYTHING!

and that stupid thundercloud too...

Mushrooms don't help if the people are passing you as you're up in the air. Best you could do is catch up behind them. I've never had problems with the banana. They're easy to dodge and very easy to recover from even if you do manage to hit it somehow.

I'm ok with Blue Shells but in Mario Kart Wii they are overused and annoying.

♫ But there's no sense crying over every mistake.

You just keep on trying till you run out of cake. ♫

I also hate when you get hit with a bunch of other crap right after you land from the explosion......

I believe he was referring to the ability to possibly dodge blue shells with a boost.

I don't mind them. One time, when I was racing with my friends, I still got second place after being Blue-Shelled three times on a single course.

Sometimes my tactic is purposely stay far behind enough the person in first most of the time to not get hit, then when they do pwn them and pass 'em up.

I don't mind the so much, but I have yet to play on 150cc so I don't know how difficult that is yet.

I am not aware of being able to dodge blue shells with boosting. Maybe in MK64, but none of the other MK games.

One way I know to dodge Blue shells in the newer games is to be in one of those transition jet things that take you from one part of the track to another when it hits. Like on Rainbow Road on the Wii version, if you are in that Rainbow jet thing when the shell hits it will miss.

Well I already knew of that, but I was just noting that I don't think it's possible to boost away from blue shells via mushrooms.
