I'm about to make a new post on THC that involves Animal Crossing, and I thought a photo from my actual game would be perfect for it.
For some reason, in the years of owning my Wii, I've never realized that the Wii doesn't allow you to send photos to an email address. You also can't put photos from your Photo Channel onto your SD card.
Why? I find it incredibly frustrating that Nintendo overlooked/refused such a simple feature. What's the point of sending photos if I can't share them with everyone?
Has anyone discovered a way around this? I've tried searching Google, but it's apparently impossible.

Well if you have bootmii you can dump your nand and its possible to decrypt it with some tools...

I believe while playing Animal Crossing, it's possible to save a photo to the SD card after you take it. Other than hacking, I don't think there's a way to get photos from the wii to the computer.

Even if animal crossing doesn't allow you to save photos on the SD care you'll still probably be able to transfer them there from the photo channel

It's easily possible for SSBB, since the photo goes directly onto your SD card. And in 2006, what you're talking about wasn't entirely common, SD cards weren't very popular it seems until the beginning of 2007.

It's easily possible for SSBB, since the photo goes directly onto your SD card.
You need to convert the .bin to an image using an external tool actually.
But its pretty easy, each .bin is only 1 image btw.

So I didn't understand what you meant by this earlier, BAD_DOG, but today after feeling confident that it had to be possible, I went to Animal Crossing Community website and found a page about it. I completely forgot there was an "SD Card" button under the photos tab on AC:CF.
SO I'VE DONE IT! I'VE SAVED A PHOTO TO MY SD CARD! AND NOW MY WONDERFUL PLANS MAY BEGIN! (see AC thread in about ten minutes)
