Post Pokemon in gen 1 and 2 that you dislike the designs of.



I don't like most human-shape Pokemon and Jynx is probably one of the worst. It's just creepy. Its similarity to blackface doesn't help.

Ahahaha, you know what's funny, before I saw this thread, I thought of Jynx right away too lol. Not to mention before they had to change it to being purple, it was black and it offended black people because they felt it represent a stereotypical black woman.

Anyway:

Hitmonlee. Why? Because he has eyes for pecs! The design is a good idea, I just don't like how he's drawn. He's fugly.


Ditto. Again, the concept of this Pokemon is a good idea - but the way it was drawn - a pink blob with a derpy face - also fugly.

Ditto is okay, but I never liked Hitmonlee either. :c Just ugly.

It is a pile of sludge with a big mouth that evolves into a bigger pile of sludge with a bigger mouth. Dumb.

Diglett looks (and even sounds like) a dick that sprouts out of the ground. Multiply that by 3, and you get Dugtrio >.<

kdfjhklg I just hate this stupid looking Pokemon. And the shiny version looks even stupider! Lime green Stantler...really?

Tai, your image doesn't work.

I liked the idea of Stantler, we needed a deer Pokemon, but it has a weird beak and a weird tail... At least Deerling and Sawsbuck are better.



It always used to really bother me how Gloom was drooling. It's just kinda gross.

Girafarig. Like what's up with its tail? And it's antlers... Look like alien antennae.

Girafarig is another one I like, it's really creative. I like how it's almost two creatures in once, but it still looks like one creature?

Also Girafarig's "antlers" are based off the things on real giraffes...

Girafarig is based on a giraffokeryx and stegosaurus. The front have is a giraffokeryx while the back half based on stegosaurus, which coincidentally had a small brain in it's tail (depending on whom you ask) and the dex entries elude too.

I wouldn't say it's too off since most people draw giraffes that way.

I was always pretty disappointed with Poliwrath. It's just Poliwhirl but more muscular and less cute.
