I'm  pretty much just starting this on a whim, mostly because there doesn't seem to be one on the boards. So, pretty much discuss what manga and anime you like, converse and such, and don't mind the fact that I'm building a dooms day machine in the corner.

So, I've been re-reading Death Note, and I'm surprised I didn't catch all the subtle things in the books before. Like the little gambits L and Light play against each other, the things going on in the background, etc...

Also, Arizawa is awesome.

Well, there was this thread:

http://nintendopipel...cussion-thread/

Aside from that, the last anime I watched was Fate/Zero.

I haven't picked another anime to watch yet, I probably should. D:

Matsuda is pretty awesome at the end, I'm trying to get into One Piece. I've got the first book and they're at my favorite part (Buggy the Clown)

I felt sorry for Matsuda. He tried to help, but all he ever got was "Matsuda you idiot!". 8'C

I'm somewhere in the fourth or fifth book now. Skypeia was where I left off in the anime.

I've actually been on break from One Piece and will soon be getting back to it. The anime though. Just finished the Skypiea saga, so I've been resting a while before getting into the next saga.

I've also been on and off reading Liar Game. I'm in the fourth game qualifier arc now, the Pandemic Game. It's such a clever manga, and full of good drama, Death Note style gambits and whatnot, but a bit more to get your head around than in Death Note, which from what I remember was easy enough to follow without having to stop and make sure you understood everything before moving on.

Anime-wise I'm juuust about done watching Michiko to Hatchin with my friend in America. Otherwise I've kind of got my focus on watching Kaiji, though I haven't been really watching it very actively. I have a bunch of started and unfinished shows I have to continue on, but I put them off for now until I get through Kaiji.

Airing shows I'm watching are (in order of best to least best):

  1. Psycho-Pass*
  2. Robotics;Notes*
  3. Shinsekai Yori*
  4. Space Brothers
  5. Polar Bear's Café
  6. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
  7. Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
  8. Sasami-san@Ganbaranai
  9. Little Busters!
  10. Tamako Market

Though Tamako Market is still good, it just falls short of the others. As I said; best to least best.

*They're all plot-heavy action dramas which all end next week, and so my impression is heightened by cliffhanger penultimate episodes. Space Brothers for example will probably end up favoured above those, but there's not a whole lot going on in it at the moment.

It's a secret to [most of you].

Does Umineko have anything to do with Higurashi? The manga styles look similar.

I just wish the anime of Umineko was actually finished. But it got cut short.

Higurashi was fun to watch at least.

My backlog of anime was around 120+ animes to watch. But then I lost my list and became overjoyed since it was like I didn't have to go back and watch 120+ animes anymore.

@Sanji07 - Through people always suggesting I watch something. Then coming across related works by the same person/people who made the suggested animes. And also coming across highly recommended animes to watch. Then of course new animes that come out that I'm interested in.

@Slasher Oh...I guess that makes sense. Maybe it's a good thing I'm picky when it comes to anime. 8P

Yes, being picky is good. :v

I just have a problem with finding things I dislike. Like with K-On for example, people always complained about how misleading and boring it was. But I still enjoyed it regardless. Even anime with bad reviews I tend to enjoy somehow.

My pickiness is based on how appropriate a show is. There's not many Teen-rated series I'll read/watch. 8'P
