We have completely redone the warning system. Previously, how the system worked was once you hit fifteen warn points, you're permanently banned. Due to this, this means that inevitably a person would be banned because hey, we all have our off-days and even the nicest person could do something wrong and get themselves a point. Over time, they would just accrue and there would be no hope.
Now warn points will gradually decrease over time. Every four months a user goes without acquiring a warn point, one will be removed from their total.
3: 5-day Suspension
4: 1-week Suspension
5: 2-week Suspension
You may always appeal a ban, but keep in mind that if you have constantly been on edge/a trouble-maker, it's almost certain that your appeal will be denied. If you wish to make successful appeal, then I recommend that you show sincerity and realization of your actions.
In the past, warn points were hidden from members. However, because it is now possible to reduce your points, I'm thinking about the possibility of enabling a user to see their own warn level (you'll only be able to see your own, other than staff members that is).
Finally, this may or may not be tweaked in the future for balance.
